In this week's jam-packed episode of the Second Mouse Podcast, we're plunging into some seriously deep water... literally and figuratively.
Firstly, we're navigating through the ill-fated Titanic submarine expedition, where ambition drowned in the depths of poor preparation. Did someone say, 'overconfidence'? Yes, we did, and we're taking a deep dive into the implications of setting sail (or should we say, dive?) with a submarine that wasn't cut out for such oceanic depth. We'll talk about the government's response, the aftermath, and the lessons we should glean from this modern-day maritime disaster. Trust us, it's more entertaining than it sounds - we're not ones to let a good disaster go without a laugh or two.
Then, we're surfacing for some political discussion - don't worry, we brought the cynicism. Enter stage right: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his anti-vaccine presidential campaign. We discuss how he's turned the broken political system into his own personal oxygen tank, and why that's as laughably absurd as it sounds. While we do think RFK Jr.'s views are straight out of Looney Tunes, we can't ignore the fact that our political climate has provided a platform for such 'crank loonery' to exist.
So join us this week on the Second Mouse Podcast as we sink our teeth into these topics. Sure, we might be late to the party, but we always have the sharpest cheese knife ready for a good slice of satirical commentary. Be the second mouse. Get the cheese, and the laughs, right here with us.

We're kicking things off with a hilariously cynical deep-dive into Memorial Day Weekend parties. Hear us wax lyrical about the joys of Q's hatred for hot dogs, our favorite atmosphere for a party, and drinks that taste suspiciously like lighter fluid. We're dishing out hot takes on our favorite (read: most feared) foods, the best ways to get sloshed.
Then, we're shifting gears to dissect the grand finale of "Succession." Who triumphed in the cutthroat family power struggle? Did it satisfy our bloodlust? And why are some viewers clamoring for more corporate backstabbing - are they okay?! We'll chat about what tickled our fancy, and deliver a few punchlines for those die-hards who thought more episodes were necessary.
Next up: "Ted Lasso." Sure, the show came with a lot of promise, but so did the Titanic, and we all know how that turned out. We'll go full roast-mode on the show's questionable plot lines and sometimes cringeworthy writing. Expect some chuckles and a healthy dose of British wit as we spill the tea on this bumbling ball coach.
Finally, we get to your favorite segment, "Asshole of the Week," where we honor the most facepalm-worthy individuals from the past seven days. Will it be a politician with a penchant for foot-in-mouth moments, or a celeb who thought we cared about their juice cleanse? Tune in to find out!
Join us on the Second Mouse Podcast, where we might be late to the party, but we're always on time for a good laugh!

Welcome back, weary travelers of the world, to another episode of The Second Mouse Podcast, where we joyously dissect the misery of current events and societal absurdities.
We start our cynical journey with a cheerful chat about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's ambition to become the president. We take a painful delight in highlighting how, if his presidency is anything like his governorship, it'll be more of a 'Trump: The Sequel' rather than an original masterpiece. Who needs a puppet show when you have DeSantis's presidential run?
As we step away from the political dumpster fire, we pivot towards the basketball court. It seems like the NBA legend, LeBron James, may be hanging up his jersey for good, or perhaps donning a new one with the New York Knicks. We'll contemplate whether shifting to the Knicks is the 'best' case scenario for him, or just another tragic tale of a fallen hero.
From there, we plunge into the grim world of loneliness, because why should the show get any cheerier? According to some very cheerful researchers, adults are getting lonelier and it's causing health issues. Let's face it, who needs physical health when mental health is spiraling down into the abyss? We promise it's not all doom and gloom (Spoiler: It kinda is).
And of course, as per our hallowed tradition, we'll have our 'Assholes of the Week' segment, where we single out those special individuals making the world just a bit more unbearable. Following this, we've got the 'Picks of the Week', which will likely involve some sort of escapism to momentarily forget the world's woes.
As a cherry on top of our cynicism sundae, we've roped in a special guest to join the fray at the end of the show. This episode will challenge your faith in humanity, but in the most entertaining way possible. So buckle up, listeners, for another joyride through the macabre theme park we call The Second Mouse Podcast.

On this episode of the Second Mouse Podcast, we're bridging the gap between the hardcourt and hard drives.
First up, we delve into the controversial topic of Ja Morant and his concerning behavior on Instagram Live. The young Grizzlies star's penchant for showcasing firearms on his livestreams has alarmed fans and critics alike. We explore the potential implications of his actions, both for his career and for the NBA at large. Is it a plea for attention, an off-beat hobby, or a serious issue that requires intervention? Let's dissect the issue.
Then we pivot to the Big Apple, where Knicks fans are nursing their postseason wounds. The Knicks' playoff run came to a premature end this year, but is it all doom and gloom? We take a deep dive into their performance, scrutinize the highs and lows, and grade their season. Was it a successful campaign? Or a painful step back? Stay tuned as we give our hot takes and cold, hard analysis.
Finally, we step off the court and into the realm of technology. Artificial intelligence has been hailed as the future of innovation but also carries potential risks that make some wonder if it's our impending doom. We have an in-depth conversation about this digital Pandora's Box: its potential, its threats, and how humanity can harness this power without succumbing to it. We'll also explore some of the ethical dilemmas that come with AI and question where we might be heading in this brave new world.
Join us for a whirlwind discussion that melds sports, technology, and philosophy on this episode of the Second Mouse Podcast! Buckle up, it's going to be an interesting ride.

At one time or another in your sheltered life you decided to venture out into the wilderness in hopes of escaping your sad work laden existence, searching for the glamourous unfettered beauty of the outdoors. Maybe it was a spiritual awakening yourself through shrooms thing you saw in a movie or heard on a hardo podcast but more likely the sole motivation was to snap a selfie portraying yourself as outdoor and adventurous (gots to do it for the gram!), the most edgy thing you can do without edge. While you thought you'd just walk along flat red clay trail easily identified by markers that took you to scenic overlooks and cascading falls, you soon realize that you're going to spend the next few hours walking in a muddy trench through the path of least resistance occupying yourself with looking at trees in hopes of catching a faint shade of spray paint as your guidance because you never learned the basics of navigation. When you finally make it back to your car which now is sovereign territory to a pack of raccoons, you realize that below the skin irritation on the back of your arm you most certainly believe is from poison sumac, now lives the juiciest tick slurping your life force from you in microgram doses. The tick had engrained and entrenched itself so well into you that you could almost sense its thoughts in this parasitic relationship. You decided that it was just going to be there forever until Rupert Murdoch emerged from the brush, newest wife in tow and flicked the tick from your arm into oblivion with ease. Tom isn't here to save you from the mind f**k of this episode.

2023 NFL Draft: We dive deep into the burning question on every football fan's mind - which quarterback will be the top pick in this year's draft? Will it be a surprise, or has the favorite already been crowned?
Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson: We discuss Jalen Hurts' recent contract extension and explore the implications for Lamar Jackson's future. Is this a sign of things to come, or just another piece in the ever-changing NFL puzzle?

Okay, so we did a bad. We fell for it and thought Trump was going to jail on Monday...our bad.
Buuuut...we did have some other great discussions about how noted "breeder" (her words) Bethany Mandel could not define the term woke and got burned on national television and then social media. We also dive into NFL free agency and what that means for the New York Giants and Washington Commandos.
Q and Tom will also reflect on weather Aaron Rodgers will be insufferable in Green Bay or in New York this year. He doesn't seem to interested in either.
